Polar is a one-person project born from a simple frustration: finding 35mm film shouldn't mean constantly checking sold-out listings or paying marketplace markups.
I started shooting film at the beginning of 2025, and immediately ran into the same problems everyone else faces. Retailers sell out quickly, restocks are unpredictable, and if you turn to marketplaces, you're often paying double (or more) what the film is actually worth. It's exhausting.
Polar exists to maintain reliable stock of quality 35mm film at honest prices. I focus on keeping the films people actually want to shoot consistently available, priced fairly based on actual supply realities, not artificial scarcity or desperation markups.
This isn't a grand venture, it's just me, a film enthusiast committed to solving a problem I experience myself. Small margins, low overhead, and stock you can actually depend on being there when you need it.
